I still have one more for Chapters (a bookstore chain, for American readers; I'd equate it with Barnes & Noble, probably) but I didn't get there today. It was too busy. As friends who go shopping with me will tell you, I can't go places and not run in to people I know. All the stopping to chat resulted in me being in the mall longer than planned.
Tonight my mom had me and my friend over. We had Chinese food for dinner and then watched The Sound Of Music Live. I confess my friend S. and I both wanted to watch it with the thought that we'd get to snark all over it. In the end, though, we both really enjoyed it. I actually liked it more than the original movie. I'll grant you that Carrie Underwood is not Julie Andrews; I think the key to enjoying the performances was to not compare. They are just such different performers, and the show itself is not really the same as the movie. I personally love live theatre and I hope that this show leads to more.
These are the last two Christmas cards that I sent out this year. Tomorrow and Wednesday I'll do year in review posts. I'm cheating and doing 2012 tomorrow and 2013 on Wednesday. Thursday I'll be having a little crop here in our common room, so I'll have new stuff then.On Jan 2, I'll also post my crafting goals for the year.
I made both of these cards at a Stamp a Stack in November. I'd already decided I'd get the ornament set, but that day also made me decide to get the set used in the second card, too. It's also when I realized I do like the Season of Style DSP.
