September SFYYT - Sketch #4

SFYTT

This month marks the first time I've been able to complete the wonderful Sketch For You To Try. I've loved these sketches since before Jen started Reverse Confetti. I just never could remember to do the sketch AND get it posted on time. I'm also entering this card for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Emboss It.

Life here is busy and exciting. I just became an aunt for the first time yesterday. My brother and his lovely wife had a beautiful baby girl yesterday. I'm not posting any pictures of the baby today, as I know the new parents are pretty private and still a wee bit anxious about having the little one's pictures online.

I went to a crop last night and actually got four cards made, but I'm only going to post the one for this card today. I flipped the sketch, because I liked the look of it better that way. It was originally going to be a masculine card, but I decided that even in the darker ink, the image was too girly, and it seemed like it needed more 'oomph,' so I added the Stickles. I hand cut the tag because I couldn't find one I liked on the Sizzix dies at the store and I was just too lazy to use the Cricut.

Card Details:

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy (SU)
Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers, Truly Grateful (SU)
DSP: Well Worn (SU)
Other: Embossing Folder, (Unknown) Stickles (Ranger)

I have a few other projects on the go that need to be ready to be mailed Monday so I will definitely be back with another post soon!
