Silent Night

The theme of the latest Wee Memories blog challenge is Colours of the Season. I've been doing a bunch of Christmas cards lately, so I decided to do one for this challenge. The only requirement was to use colours that are regularly associated with the holidays.

I have always loved the church in this set. Turns out, however, that it's rather big for my hand and the amount of pressure it requires to get a clean image is difficult for me to achieve. As a result, I don't use it very often. In fact, I found another set that serves me equally well and is easier to use. So this will be the final year I use the Silent Night set before it goes into the next lss garage sale.

I kept the card very clean and simple. I quite like the image on its own with no glitter or anything; it looks like a hand drawn sketch.

Note that this card is another that isn't the standard A2 size; I believe it is A6 (4.75" x 6.5"), with the card base measuring 1/4" smaller

The image was too big to mat, so I inked it.
Details:Cardstock: Real Red (SU!); Patterned Paper : Figgy Pudding (Basic Grey); Ink Tuxedo Black (Memento), True Thyme (SU!); Stamps: Silent Night (image); Christmas Cardinal (sentiment)

That stamp is beautiful! I have a hard time with larger stamps too. Sometimes wish I had three hands! BTW, I picked embroidery because it was the least tedious needlework out there! Ha! I have little patience as well! Lol! Merry Christmas!

Your card is beautiful.
Tip: ink your stamp, then lay the stamp down (inked side up) and then put the paper ontop of the stamp. It works for me.
