I get by...

With a little help from my friends...

I am so glad that I have other friends interested in cardmaking/stamping. It has definite advantages. Aside from the fun of having people to crop with, we can share supplies and, at least in theory, not buy everything we love.

This card, for example, uses patterned paper from a stack my friend bought. I am such a paper addict that I can't bring myself to buy stacks anymore. I'd feel too guilty buying individual sheets and stacks, and really, because I don't like to use the same paper on layouts and cards too often, the multiple sheets a person gets in a stack is not useful to me.

The stamped image is from the Seaside Sketches, which I borrowed from another friend. I'm currently babysitting it so I can make a bunch of cards using the images. I wasn't deeply enamored with the set when I first started stamping; too much colouring. Well, my style has changed and now I absolutely love to colour images.

In this card, I mixed some colours for the images. Card details:

CS: Stampin Up Vintage Violet, Cool Carribbean
PP: DCWV Glitter stack (I think.... may be Pocket Full of Posies)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Markers: All SU... Yo Yo yellow, Blush Blossom, Only Orange, Tempting Turqoise and a bit of Taken with Teal for the ocean, and Orchid Opulence+Lovely Lilac for her dress.
