Goodbye Scrapbookin Adventures

Yesterday was the final day for one of our local stores. It was sad; I have a lot of good memories of scrapbooking there. I made a lot of friends through the shop, and I had a lot of fun in the classes and events I attended. As we approach 2015, I decided I should go through and clean up my computer a bit. A bunch of pictures were misfiled. Ok, really, I was procrastinating on tackling the dishes. The machine is working away in the background as I type.

This first Halloween card was a Make & Take at one of the store's anniversary weekends. It has to have been from at least 2013 - maybe even 2012? I can't remember.

This card was made relatively recently. I'm pretty sure it was a summer make & take from 2014. I Love the colours and the different sentiments. And those candles are made from paper straws that were cut up, with twine for the candle 'wick.'

This final card is one I made. I'm not happy with it at all. It was my first attempt at a Tent Topper card, and I was going from memory in terms of the dimensions. And the circle mat I punched was a bit too big for the image.

Hi Tania. So sorry about your uncle. Congrats on your election. Like your cards. neat idea using straws for candles, looks like they could be turned into rockets for a boys BD card. Hope 2015 is better than 2014 for you.
Happy New Year

I feel your pain. I hate that all our scrapbook stores have closed also including Archivers. I guess that is one bad thing about the Internet and being able to find anything we want online except for the comraderie and fellowship of those classes.
