Snowmaggedon!?!?!

It started to snow at some point early Saturday morning; I woke up to it at around 8:00 a.m. It's now Sunday at 2:40 as I type this post and it is still coming down. It looked heavy yesterday morning, but it wasn't sticking at all so the day's plans went ahead. We had a baby shower at church for a friend of mine. I forgot to ask mom for permission to post a picture of me holding the wee one on my blog, so alas, it isn't gonna happen, as I can't figure out a way to crop one of the ones I have in a way that won't render it pointless.

I got home around, oh, 3:30 pm yesterday and still, no snow was sticking to the roads. And then, around 5:00, it started to stick. Here's a picture of how it was at 6:45. I was able to get all the way outside to take it.

This morning, there was so much snow on the walkway that I couldn't get out to take this shot again.

So I headed over to the main door of the building (I go out a side door, it's closer to the parking lot) and got this shot. You can see our walkway is covered in at least 2-3 inches. I won't be getting through until it's shoveled. It truly reminds me of the blizzard of 1996.

Our wonderful E., who is in charge of maintenance on the property, out clearing the path for emergency vehicles. So grateful to him for coming in on a Sunday.

Here's a quick card for him that I'll make sure he gets tomorrow. This card is totally made up of scraps and such from my stash. The patterned paper is VERY old.

Sounds like a fun weekend! I see your weather there is still snowy like here too. I think it is lovely but I am honestly over the snow as I can't drive in it and so tired of shoveling. Glad you have help with the snow removal! Your thank you card is so happy and love the images and colors.

That sure was a lot of snow. Still just happy that I'm not living up in the North anymore. Even though we have cold, we don't get the white stuff. TFS those photos. Your card is so pretty and cheerful.
