Happy HOOlidays!

Well, I had said in my last post that I'd planned to go to the Lavender Festival with a friend, but that didn't pan out. She had something come up and I didn't feel like making the drive on my own. It was just as well, though, in that it gave me time to do some work around my apartment. No photos yet, as I'm not quite done.

I haven't posted much because I've not been very active in my crafting right now. Part of that is that I'm consumed with FINALLY getting my space set up the way I want it. I'll have that job finished on Tuesday, if all goes according to plan. Part of it is that I've been busy with work. Lots of planning is taking place for what youth group will look like in the fall, and it's been fairly time consuming. And really, when I'm not working, I just want to sit at home, in front of a fan, watching the Olympics. It's blasted hot right now. If you knew me in person, you'd know what a rare thing it is for me to say that.

Despite my inertia, I've managed to finish a  set of cards that qualifies for two challenges:

When I was cleaning I found all these pieces I'd prepped to make another copy of a Christmas card I'd made at a class last year. I love this little owl. I almost bought him but I have a membership at my lss and he's available for use in the workshop. You have to bring your own inks, embossing powder/tools, etc, of course, but there is a selection of stamps available to use there. The only thing that held me back is that more than half of my Christmas cards are made for the church and I wouldn't be able to use him on those ones.

 Card Details:
Stamps: unknownCardstock: American Crafts
Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants
Other: Tombow markers, embossing powder, watercolour paper

This owl is really cute! I love the dimension you added to all the "furry" areas. Thanks for playing with CSAYL.
