I can't believe how long it's been since my last post. Life just got very busy over the summer. Lots of changes happening in life, some good, some bad, some neutral. I've been helping out a great deal more at church since the summer, because we had two fabulous people resign, our Children's Ministry Director and our Youth Director. Between that, spending time with family, helping with summer reading, and enjoying what good weather we did have (I swear, there was some!), the crafting got away from me, which meant no blogging.
I did spend the day at the scrapbook store today and I finished a couple challenge cards. This card is for FTL Challenge 159 and Cards for Men Challenge 20. I always love their sketches and this one was no different I particularly love it when a sketch immediately brings to mind a second challenge with which I can combine it.
As soon as I saw it I knew exactly who I wanted to make a card for, the colour scheme, and the set I wanted to use. I bought the set Stampin' Up set Sporting when it retired. I had dithered about it for ages because I wasn't sure I'd use it beyond a few scrapbook pages. Now that I'm making birthday cards for the church, the set is perfect for our sports enthusiasts, both male and female This SU designer paper is very versatile. The side not shown, which is actually my favorite, is on the 'girly' side. I hadn't really noticed the stripes before and they turned out to be perfect for this card.
Card Details:
Stamps: Sporting, Bring On The Cake
Cardstock: Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz
Ink: Chocolate Chip
See you tomorrow with another sketch challenge I completed.
