More thank you cards...

On Saturday I posted the first of 13 thank you cards I made in a class at Scrapbookin' Adventures. These re the remainder of the cards. I love this one... the greenish colour cardstock is gorgeous, and I love the punch. I think it may be a Martha Stewart one. I may have to get it; super easy to use.

These two were my other faves... love the simple design and the colour scheme. I wasn't sure about the idea of trimming off one scalloped edge and in retrospect I love the look. It's cleaner. If you click on these cards you'll see that the brown border strip on the flower card says 'Thanks a bunch'. I think. ;) I loved how easy these flowers were to hand cut.

With these brown cards, I decided to use my own Stampin' Up punches, partly because I didn't feel like waiting and partly because I remembered that a few of the other border punches at the store are harder for me to use. It's not the punches, it's the user in this case. I also made an error with my ribbon and didn't have enough to make a bow. I am going to add more adhesive to keep the ribbon down, and them maybe embellish with a button or something of that nature. With this set in particular, I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried a bit of sanding the edges of my cardstock. I have to admit I like the look of it. The top of the blue cardstock is torn rather than sanded, of course.

As much a I said the white/blue combo cards were my favorites, I have to admit I really like these four as well. I love the patterned paper on these ones. Again, I used my own punch on the horizontal card. In fact, I made an error, so I trimmed off the border and redid it. Only thing I dislike now is that the brown mat is a bit thinner than I would have liked. If I remake that design I'll have to remember to give myself a bit more paper just in case of an 'oops.'  The only other difference in this set between my cards and the originals is the first card on the left - the 'thank you' sticker/mat' is actually on the other side in the original. I made an error and went with it.

Thanks.. to be clear, I didn't design these... Jenn @ Scrapbookin' Adventures did. I made a tiny change on a few, but design and colour choice wise, it's their work. I just did my own cutting, punching, etc.,and put them together.
