You won't want to miss all the inspiration from our members....... or the prizes :-)

Our theme for this month is CHRISTMAS!

Now, anyone who knows me knows that I love Christmas. LOVE it. I love the traditions, the music, the time with loved ones, the extra sense of closeness I feel to God as I marvel at the wonder of the Nativity story, the advent services at church, and yeah, I'll even admit that I love the presents. Mind you, I like the look of presents under a tree as much as I enjoy finding out what is inside. I just love unwrapping gifts.

As a child, I had two favorite tradtions. The first was going to see Santa. Since I don't have children of my own, I now try to go see him with one of my friends' children. When she was younger, I used to take my cousin J most years. This layout is from 2005. She'd be 7, if my math is right. They did a Harry Potter themed event and had a magician perform prior to Santa's arrival. I didn't take these photos; the ones during the performance were given to me by the fellow who was doing the mall photography. The one of J., Santa, and I was taken by a friend from church. I was so happy to have them.

As you can see, I've not journalled yet. Haven't quite decided whether to create a pocket, or journal around the border. Not sure how much I want to say. Journalling is a block of mine. I know I need to do it, I just have trouble making myself sometimes.

All products are Fancy Pants - Holiday Tradition is the line, I believe. It is their latest Christmas release.
I created the page based on a design from the All Day Scrapbookin' Adventure I took part in for Scrapbookin' Adventures anniversary retreat weekend this past fall.

Here is a photo from my other favorite tradition... trimming the tree. The last two years my wonderful friends have brought their kids over, so they could decorate my tree for me. I am praying we can repeat it again this yeaar.... just need to get in touch with a few people and pick a date that works. It brings me so much joy to see what they come up with. So this year I'm hoping to have an afternoon or early evening thing where I can serve them cookies (maybe we can even decorate them), put on some carols, and decorate.

This blog hop will run from today, November 27th until November 29th. We will be drawing for winners on November 30th.Follow along in our blog hop! Your next stop is Liz

Lovely layout! And just relax about journaling! Just write what you want to remember about those pictures. Write on a piece of paper and place it behind the layout in the album, if you don't want to commit to something right now. At least you won't forget all about that day!

I think you have a wonderful idea in 'borrowing' youngsters to help you to feel the magic of Christmas :) I sometimes think I'm missing a lot by not having grandchildren, but as the little ones next door get bigger I shall borrow them - thanks for the idea!

Very pretty layout, i like how you split the page. Great tradition for the xmas tree, hope it goes as well this year :-)

thanks HappyCrafter... the split page design and the photo placement is from the class. I just chose the colour scheme/paper and embellishments. The actual design is not mine.

Great page! Don't worry about the journaling that can be as simple as the date and location so you remember. Love the traditions and having neighbors kids come over, that is such a great idea. Glad you are having fun, that is the most important part, memories and fun.

Such beautiful paper and embellies on your page! I struggle to journal on my pages right away, too. It looks like a fun day and it is so great that you have such special holiday traditions! :)
