One Card, Four challenges!

This post is my second of the day. If you want to see the card I entered in the Reverse Confetti sketch challenge  and the Simon Says Emboss It Challenge, it is here.

Today, I have another card to post that was also made for challenges. This time, it fits multiple challenges. I love it when this happens. I did base the design on a sketch, but I'm not even sure where I saw it.

The card is for:

The Friday Mashup  - Thinking of You. This challenge was to make a sympathy card. We could mash it up by donating the card to a local group. I will be donating mine to our church,

ABC Challenges - Sympathy

SUO Challenges - Favourite Technique (Make your own dsp in this case)

Shopping Our Stash - Favourite Stampy Technique (As above - make your own dsp)

Yesterday, despite my good intentions, was NOT a particularly productive day. I spent most of it frittering away the time on the internet. I did pop into the local stamp store to find out about a fundraiser they're doing for ovarian cancer. I won't be able to attend, but I am getting the kits. Beyond that, I was just hanging out at home, procrastinating. What can I say? There was a hockey game on! It was only an exhibition game, but they were NHL teams. And there were decent players participating, not just a bunch of guys who have no hope of making the team. I mean, there were a decent number of those, too - it is still pretty early into training camp - but it wasn't an all prospect game. So I had to watch!

Now, I have to get ready for church. I might be back with a few more cards today, but it depends. I have a couple projects that I must complete in time to mail them off tomorrow, so that will take precedence.

Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday!

I like the background image. Is it a stamp or patterned paper? Also like the look of the blue and brown together.

That's a great thing to do with your card. I don't like making sympathy cards but surely should ave a few on hand, I may have to take this challenge as well.

DSP ... what does it mean? I've tried googling and come up with Designer Series Paper, so I'm wondering if you simply mean background paper?
PS: Saw your card on the Shopping Our Stash favourite technique page.
