VC Rocks Blog Hop

So glad to be participating in this month's VC Rocks Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from Angela's blog.
Our theme for July is Hostess Gifts/Anything  But a Card. I rarely make anything other than cards or scrapbook pages, so I decided this hop would be a stretch for me. In the end, I didn't do a layout, but I did make a mini-album. I was reminded how to make these cute, quick, easy albums by my SU demo in May. In fact, that's when I started this one. The instructions for making the Star Album can be found in lots of different places on the web. I, personally, like the ones given on SplitCoast Stampers.

Enough talk... let's get to some photos! You'll notice that this album is still pretty bare bones. There are two reasons for that. One, I'm still debating who the recipient is going to be. I'm pretty sure I know, but I've not 100% decided yet. Two, I discovered rather late in the game that I was out of adhesive. Or, more to the point, I can't figure out where I've put the two half used rolls of double sided sticky tape that I know I still have.

A couple things to point out: First, you'll notice I didn't photograph every page. That's simply because I made multiples of a couple layouts. Second, you'll notice when you look at the overhead view, that each section is made of 3 pieces of paper. In my here, and the one on Splitcoast, there's a border on the sides. I prefer to do it so that the edges of each of the 3 pages meet. I did it that way with the first album I made and in the end it looked and worked better. As I used responsitionable adhesive with this one, I will likely change it. When this one is finally done, I'll post a follow up.

Thanks for stopping by. Your next stop is Elizabeth's blog. I'm sure she's got something fantastic to share with you! I hope you'll take the time to visit all the stops along the hop. If you ever get lost, you can simply head back to the VC Rocks homepage

These are cool albums and really are pretty easy to make. I made one last year, but still need to finish it up. TFS!
