September Blog Hop

Welcome to Lovebug Scrapbooking's "INSPIRE US!" blog hop!! Our blog hops take place on the last Saturday of every month. Thanks so much for joining us!

If you just happened by this blog and didn't realize a blog hop was taking place, please go back to Lovebug Scrapbooking and start the Hop. You won't want to miss all the inspiration from our members....... or the prizes.

Our theme for September is "THANKSGIVING".

Today I have some cards to share with you.

This first card is one I had made for a swap at least a year ago; probably longer. I liked so much I decided it make it again. That and I really needed something fast for today.

The following two images are cards I made in challenge to use brown and any other colour.

I'm still not sure about these cards. Whether it's the color combo of the brown base, purple cuttlebugge card front and the green mat or the lack of c colouring around the images, these four just are not working for me. I'd love some feedback! Once I'm happy with them, these cards willbe sent to our shut ins.l

So that'sallI have this month. Please give me a suggestion of how to improve the purple cards. I'll be eternally grateful.

This blog hop will run from today, September 25th until Tuesday, September 28th. We will be drawing for winners on September 29th on the Lovebug blog. Your next stop is:

Pretty cards, about about a ribbon at the bottom or doing some sewing along the bottom.

hello Tania! beautiful cards, thanks for the inspiration. You asked what more can you do to jazz them up a little? I'd say a little ribbon + charm, or some Stickles on the embossed cardstock to add instant sparkle and voilĂ !
have fun! Lucie (Ladypirate)

I think it's the purple :-) just because purple is not my fave color. LOL!

How about a bit of dark brown cs as a mat for the colored images?

I think everyone else has given some great ideas for spiffying up your cards.
Is that a single stamp?
Did you cut it apart?
Good idea!

I think the cards are great! Maybe you could sand the embossed parts on the purple base?

LOVE the stamp you used. It's so versatile and I love how you've used the whole stamp on some cards, and parts of the stamp on others. Thanks for sharing!

I think some ribbons and buttons to tie it all together would be perfect

Those cards are great. Color-wise, I think it's the green/purple combo that is off for me, but I like the layout and that stamped image.

Maybe mat the green with the same brown as your base. Resuses that color again and gives a buffer between the purple and the green.

I'd ink the edges of the purple to deepen it and probably the green as well.

Finally, bring some purple element into your image. Something. a brad, a highlight. Something to tie that color into your image.

Just my 2 cents.
